A Little Piece of History
DARMOGRAY Custom Jewelers opened its doors in June of 2008 by Don (Gray) Darmogray. Don is a 2nd generation jeweler/gemologist. His father, Walter, created Gray Jewelers in Wayne, Michigan in 1947. The family remained in business here until moving to Escanaba, Michigan and opening Gray Jewelers in Delta Plaza in November of 1970. Don and his brother, Robert, operated Gray Jewelers in Escanaba until the spring of 1999, when Bob retired. Don opened Gray Jewelers in Gladstone before selling the business and working for the owners as a consultant and gemologist. His love of fine jewelry and unique gemstones inspired him to open a fine Jewelry store in Gladstone and to continue his family's 60 plus years of creating, servicing, and serving his many fine customers.
